On my instance with registration disabled, if I try to visit /auth/register, I see the message "Sorry, registration is disabled on this instance."
I think this issue is a bad server configuration, not a MediaGoblin bug.

There have been no responses to this issue. Disabling registration has always worked fine for me. If the submitter still has issues, please contact us for configuration assistance.

I can even log in and am being asked for Email verification.
Clicking on Send Email Verification leads to Server Error.
