Description
I have my own instance of Muppy running on my domain at http://url.thelovebug.org/ - it would be really useful if media uploaded to MediaGoblin could be automatically assigned a shortened URL for me to share rather than the behemoth of a URL that could (potentially) be generated by MediaGoblin.
Usage for Muppy can be found at: http://corenominal.org/muppy-project/usage/
Of course, other freeURL shorteners are available!

Clarification: this would be a good *core* plugin to bundle with mediagoblin, I think.

It's a good idea, but closing as it's not currently a top priority for MediaGoblin.
