oops, I forgot this is not supposed to go through the message queue. Oh well, I experimented anyway. I reproduced the existing messaging except I couldn't insert a link into the message to prompt the user to re-send the verification email. If I could just tell the template to tell the browser to interpret the output of {{ msg.text }} in ../templates/mediagoblin/utils/messages.html ...
