Description
In topbar you can only see the triangle.
To show users that they logged in show their avatar, nickname or other information (like twitter).

+1 to this. Seeing only the triangle and having to click it to see your options seems counter-intuitive to me.
Maybe have that "panel" expanded by default, with the option to collapse it by clicking the triangle, at least?
